Willis Raburu
The media personality witnessed a significant weight loss after undergoing a gastric bypass surgery, costing him Sh900,000. At the time he was undergoing the surgery, Willis Raburu was 164 kg. The former 10 over 10 host acknowledges the importance of investing in oneself.

As for Willis Raburu, losing some weight was a matter of his health benefit but not popularity.

At the time, Raburu’s blood pressure and cholesterol were high, thus making it an urgent issue. Nevertheless, it wasn’t an easy journey. Raburu who had embarked a six months weight loss journey faced numerous obstacles. Throughout the process, results kept fluctuating, but the media personality didn’t give up. At the end of the challenge, he had lost 30 kg.
Anerlisa Muigai
Anerlisa Muigai’s struggle with weight is not new. She has been a subject of weight loss in the country for the past few years.

Anerlisa, who is the daughter of Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja, lost around 60 kg in two years. She initially weighed 124 kg. After the procedure, Anerlisa Muigai weighed 66 kg. Thereafter, the Keroche Breweries heiress vowed to help individuals shed some weight just the same way she did.

“It’s not been easy, but I made it. I would like to give everyone who wants to lose weight a chance to do it my way and also do it with me,” she said after a successful procedure for weight loss.

Anerlisa is now focused on maintaining her health and managing her weight; she quit alcohol and cut sugar. The Nero CEO doesn’t shy away from opening up about her struggles with the weight issue, thus serving as an inspiration to many.
Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir
Mombasa governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir weighed more than 100 kg a few years back. When you look at him now, you’ll be wowed. The first-term governor is now looking dapperer than ever. Abdulswamad discovered that he had to lose some weight when he was barred from skydiving (in Dubai) just because he was overweight.
